A Celebration of Art, Heart, and Mind

Friday was the dawn of a new day at the College of Coastal Georgia.

The Howard E. Coffin gymnasium on the Brunswick campus was filled with University of System of Georgia trustees, faculty from the state's colleges and universities, students and friends of the college. Others in attendance included Chancellor Erroll Davis Jr., University System of Georgia, and James Bishop, Regent of the First Congressional District.

All came to support and recognize Valerie Hepburn in her inauguration celebration as president of College of Coastal Georgia.

Lending A Helping Hand

Bert Brown, executive director of Habitat for Humanity in Glynn County, stood outside a lot at 1618 Johnston St. in Brunswick on Saturday and was pleased with what he saw.
Nearly 20 volunteers from the College of Coastal Georgia and four from Brunswick High School Reserve Officers' Training Corps hammered nails, measured two-by-fours and steadied the new interior walls of homeowner Johnnie Mann's new Habitat house.

CCGA Staff and Students continue their work here.
