HIGHLIGHTS – Coastal Georgia Community College was one of six pilot institutions to participate in the Black Male Initiative Project. Armstrong Atlantic State University offered six degree programs as well as access to post-baccalaureate teacher certification in three areas through the Brunswick Center. Faculty members aggressively recruited students to study abroad. The College’s website was completely redesigned and a content management system implemented for maintaining the website. The College’s Business & Industry Division has organized outreach programs to community businesses through Advisory Boards. National achievement by students and graduates include Coca Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship and Grand Prize Winner 2003 National Student Nurses Association Writing Contest. National recognition of faculty and staff include article in Laboratory Primate Newsletter, essay for Georgia History Encyclopedia, and the Quality in Undergraduate Education National Meeting. Seaswells was named Most Outstanding College Literary Magazine by the American Scholastic Press Association. The Student Activities Program was named 2003 Programming Board of the Year by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities.
