Plans were developed for an off-campus center in Camden County using space provided at no charge to the college by Camden County Schools and utilizing a former elementary school site. The college was involved in the corporate relocation process for the Jered Brown Company, a major engineering and manufacturing defense contractor which relocated from the Detroit area to Brunswick in 1992. The president spoke to seven different minority audiences regarding the importance of education for the future of minority students. Complete restructuring of the Academic Advisement/Orientation program was completed. A new computer system was acquired for the library which made possible access to the Union catalog. Progress was made in completing the campus computer network. The inauguration of Dr. Dorothy L. Lord as the third permanent president of Brunswick College and the first woman president of a two-year college in Georgia was a major highlight of the 1991-92 year.
