    CONTENTS: ANNUAL MEETING, FACT SHEET (HISTORY, STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF, BUDGET AND FINANCES 1996-1997, PHYSICAL PLANT, LIBRARY, DEGREE AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE 1996-97), MEETING MINUTES, SCHOLARSHIP REPORT, FINANCIAL REPORT, HIGHLIGHTS 1996-97 -- MARCH 19, 1997 MINUTES: Annual Fund Drive report, "A Day for Coastal Georgia Community College" report, Forum Event report, President’s report (Dr. Lord) -- DECEMBER 3, 1996 MINUTES: Alumni Association, Coastal Georgia Community College Incorporated name change, establishment of Albert Crews Award, Renovation Projects update, Townsend Street property, Annual Campaign activities, college donors, fundraising events, President’s report (Dr. Lord) -- MAY 29, 1996 MINUTES: Annual Fund Report, Financial Report, 1996-97 budget, Investment Report, new officers, Scholarship Committee report, fundraising, Status of the College Report (Dr. Lord) -- HIGHLIGHTS: On July 9, 1996, the Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia changed the name of Brunswick College to Coastal Georgia Community College. The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia fully accepted a gift of land for a permanent Camden Residence Center in Camden County. In spring 1996 the Coastal Georgia Community College P-16 Council was organized as a sub-unit of the Armstrong Atlantic State University regional P-16 Council. The College participated with Glynn, Mclntosh, and Camden counties in developing tech prep agreements which are designed to smooth the transition from high school vocational programs into post-secondary technical programs.The president was directly involved in establishing the first Academic All-American recognition program for Georgia students who had been nominated for the Gannett Foundation/USA Today sponsored Academic All-American competition.Full implementation of the new Student Information System BANNER has proceeded during this year.Actual work on the renovation of the Academic Building began in late April 1997.
