    I. NARRATIVE. INTRODUCTION -- ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT -- CONTINUING EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES -- STUDENT SERVICES -- ACCREDITATION STATUS -- STATEMENT OF PURPOS -- FISCAL AFFAIRS -- PHYSICAL FACILITIES AND CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT -- BRUNSWICK COLLEGE FOUNDATION -- AFFIRMATIVE ACTION -- PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE -- II. Assessment of Strengths, Needs, and Five Year Plans -- III. INSTITUTIONAL STATISTICS -- [FINANCIAL REPORT] -- The year 1981-82 was a busy period in the history of the college. Two major projects growing out of the Southern Association Institutional Self-Study dominated all other activity. These two projects were the redrafting of the institutional statutes and the reorganization of the academic administrative staff. -- Also growing out of the Institutional Self-Study was the recommendation that the institution conduct a community survey of educational needs to provide relevant data to be considered in planning future course offerings and degree programs. -- This year was a very strong year for cultural programs and exhibits. -- general decline in student enrollment -- The Division of Continuing Education experienced an increase in enrollment for non-credit activities during the 1981-82 program year. A total of 5,064 registrations were received in 245 non-credit activities, representing an increase of 10% -- The office of Student Affairs broadened its base of services to students through the addition of the Career Development Center under the direction of a Counselor/Evaluator who assists students, particularly the handicapped and disadvantaged -- recommendations from the Reaffirmation of Accreditation Visiting Committee's Report -- Statement of Purpose was revised -- Approval by Board of Regents of the long-awaited Vocational/Technical Addition and the purchase of a 275 ton back-up chiller -- Fine Arts/Civic Auditorium still not a reality -- In order to provide a vehicle for effective and systematic planning, a permanent faculty committee was appointed
