Seaswells was awarded first place with special merit in the literary magazine competition sponsored by the American Scholastic Press Association. President Dorothy L. Lord was named in 1998 to the American Association of Community Colleges Presidents' Academy Executive Committee and to the Southern Regional Council of the College Board. Coastal Georgia Community College received design funds in the FY99 supplemental budget for the $17.5 million Camden Center Facility.
