The College hosts annually the High School Academic Bowl. CGCC hosted the Coastal Georgia Minority Outreach Program for the 14th consecutive year in summer 2006. The College was involved in the initial recruitment of the prescription billing and processing company Express Scripts to relocate in Camden County in 2005. The Culinary Arts program became accredited through the American Culinary Foundation in July 2006. CGCC’s Registered Nursing Program applied for and was awarded an ICAPP Grant. The President has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Blueprint Brunswick which is a concerted community redevelopment effort. Service hours of staff and students recognized with an award by the President of the United States for the Community Service Honor Roll for Higher education Community Service.
